Straight answers to common questions
No spin. Here's exactly what we do, what we charge, and where our work ends.
Do you guarantee my visa will be approved?
No. No legitimate visa service can guarantee approval — the embassy or consulate makes the final decision. What we promise is an application that is complete, correct and submitted on time, which is the biggest controllable factor in a visa outcome.
Do you give immigration advice?
No. Choosing the right work, study or residency route is regulated immigration advice. For that we refer you to a licensed adviser (IAA in the UK, RCIC in Canada, MARA in Australia). EasyVisa does the clerical and document work — forms, supporting letters, legalisation, appointment booking and tracking.
How much does EasyVisa charge?
Our service fees are published. Tier 1 simple e-visas are R1,200. Tier 2 biometric visas (UK, Schengen, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China) are R3,500. Tier 3 work, study and residency document handling starts from R9,500. No VAT is added — the price you see is the final price.
Who pays the government or embassy fee?
You do, directly to the authority on your own account. EasyVisa's invoice covers only our service fee plus any document add-ons. We keep the government fee separate so the transaction stays transparent and your money stays in your hands. Any government-fee figure we quote is an estimate at today's exchange rate — the exact amount is shown when you pay.
Do I even need a visa for my destination?
Several countries are visa-free for South African passport holders — and if you don't need a visa, we won't sell you one. Check our visa guide at easyvisa.co.za/do-i-need-a-visa for the current status of popular destinations, and always verify on the official government portal before you travel.
Can you also handle my documents, like an apostille or police clearance?
Yes. EasyVisa is part of Easy Services Group, so we can add document legalisation to the same job: DIRCO apostille (R1,650), DHA unabridged certificate (R2,450), SAPS police clearance (R2,450), SAQA evaluation (R3,450), sworn translation (R1,000 per page) and more. These are add-ons charged per document, in addition to your visa service fee. All final prices, no VAT.
Do you handle immigration into South Africa?
No. EasyVisa is outbound only — we help South Africans apply for visas to travel abroad. We do not handle visas or immigration into South Africa.
How do I start, and how long does it take?
WhatsApp us on +27 72 658 3987 with your destination and travel purpose. We reply with the route, the fixed service fee and the documents you need — usually within an hour during business hours. Timelines depend on the embassy and appointment availability; we'll give you a realistic estimate up front.
Is VAT added to your prices?
No. EasyVisa is operated by Easy Services Group, which is registered for Income Tax only and is not VAT-registered. No VAT is added — the price you see is the final price.
Why is your fee lower than the R11,000+ I've seen elsewhere?
Many South African visa firms quote an all-in package that bundles the government fee into the price, often starting around R11,000. We separate the two: a published service fee, plus the government fee that you pay directly to the authority. You see exactly what each part costs.
